Optical Networks
This is a new research group with a bilateral proposed research focus on optical network design and all-optical node design. The former is of particular importance with reference to UP's emphasis onlocal relevance, and in this regard there is a cooperation with CeTeis, Telkom's CoE at UP. The latter encompasses research supported by the TU/e in the development of an all optical packet-switched cross connect.
