The identification of endogenous selective anti-tumour agents

The identification of endogenous selective anti-tumour agents will be of great benefit to cancer patients in the future, since they will be effective without detrimental side effects. To this extent, the research objectives of our cell biology laboratory are to investigate the potential of natural endogenous metabolites that are not toxic for normal cells and exhibit minimal or no side effects, as anti-tumor agents, and to study the anti-tumorigenic actions of these metabolites on cellular and molecular level
