Postmodern theory, gender studies and popular culture
This research focusses on the importance of constructed entertainment landscapes such as shopping malls, theme parks and casinos. These are examined and deconstructed within a post-colonial and postmodern mindset to reveal the underlying ideologies. This is specifically important in determining a cultural politics of Africa today
