Ecology of wildlife and wildlife management

The ecology of wildlife and wildlife management consists mainly of a study of the ecology and behaviour of the larger carnivores as a basis for the conservation and management of larger carnivores on large official and private conservation areas. It also includes studies of the ontogeny of behaviour in the African buffalo, the influence of social behaviour on production, herd formation and herd composition in the buffalo in order to improve buffalo management in large conservation areas.
