Selected Highlights from Research Findings

As part of international research on the renewal in the Liturgy, a contribution was made to a book on the meaning of metaphoric language as liturgical language. An accurate analysis of the functions of the metaphor reveals its possibilities in applications. It must be borne in mind that it is a characteristic of the metaphor to create tension. The metaphor also links related realities. The meaning of conventional metaphors is contained in the fact that it determine people's everyday views and actions. Also, metaphors often create networks. For the Liturgy these different functions of metaphors present exciting and creative possiblities. Further, the place and meaning of simbols are exposed anew.
