Enteric viruses

Research focusses on enteric viruses, notably gastroenteritis, hepatitis and polio viruses. Techniques for the detection of these viruses are developed, and control of virus transmission by water and food is investigated. These viruses are a major cause of morbidity and mortality, particularly in developing communities
