Physiology: Growth, digestion and adaptation of livestock and wildlife
The study of fundamental aspects of growth, lactation and reproduction physiology, development, digestion, nutrient absorption and utilisation and adaptation of livestock and wildlife. Different carcass charateristics are studied with the aim of improving meat products. Establish risk assessments associated with ingestion rates of water quality constituents, for livestock and wildlife and risk assessment validation for domestic users. The physiology of digestion and the microfauna of the digestive system of wild herbivores are studied with reference to habitat use
