Enteric viruses
Research focusses on enteric viruses, notably gastroenteritis, hepatitis and polio viruses. These viruses are a major cause of morbidity and mortality, particularly in developing communities Techniques for the detection of these viruses are developed, and control of virus transmission by water and food is investigated.
