Widows Human Rights in Africa

The focus on this is widow's human rights; and how they are affected by the African customary rule of inheritance known as primogeniture. In terms of this custom, only males can inherit property. Preference is given to the oldest son of the deceased. If the deceased did not leave any sons, either his brother, father, uncle of male cousin will then inherit his estate. Neither his wife nor daughters are entitled to any share of his property.
