In the literature there is a changing pattern in the epidemiology of laryngeal carcinoma with the emphasis on a reduction in sex ratio and an increase amongst black patients. We want to compare the cases of laryngeal carcinoma at Pretoria for two 5-year periods with each other as well as with the literature to show possible tendenses
