The impact of a skills laboratory - qualitative study on medical students' experiences
The educational strategy for skills education comprises live demonstrations, interactive multimedia and videos on relevant skills, followed by supervised practical sessions in simulation and assignments during clinical practice. Research on the impact of this strategy on students' ability to master skills is imperative to determine whether the proposed outcomes of the curriculum are met. The aims of this study were to explore and describe the experiences of undergraduate medical students on the acquisition of practical skills in a skills lab setting and the impact the acquisition of these skills had on their clinical practice
